For the regular inspection and operation of needle bearings, and the replacement of peripheral parts, the usage should be recorded one by one. At the same time, it is necessary to carefully check and record the appearance of the needle roller bearing that has been removed, and understand the amount of lubricant used in the bearing. When these repairs are done, clean the needle bearings.
In the inspection of needle roller bearings, the raceway surface, rolling surface and mating surface of the bearing should be carefully inspected, and the wear degree and damage condition of the bearing should be recorded. Pay special attention to observe the running track of the raceway surface. After considering the degree of damage of the bearing, machine performance, importance, operating conditions, inspection period, etc., determine whether the bearing can be used again. When the needle bearing has the following damages, it can no longer be used and a new bearing is required.
a. Cracks, peeling or chipping of any of the inner and outer rings, rolling elements, cages, etc. are not reusable.
b. The raceway surface, the ribs, and the rolling elements are rusted and significantly indented and cannot be reused.
c. The cage is heavily worn or the rivets are loose.
d. The bearing is overheated or the surface is discolored.
e. Grease seal bearing seals and dust caps are damaged.
